Description
An electronics kit where the finished circuit runs a small projector. Your child builds a real circuit from brick-shaped components — battery, switch, wires — and when it is wired correctly and the button is pressed, the projector throws an image onto the wall. The result is visible from across the room, which is why the effort holds.
The details
- Ages: 6–8 years
Parent guides: Easy Science Experiments for Kids at Home: Step by Step, by Age · Games That Build Your Child’s Skills, by Age: 1, 18 Months, 2, 3, 4–5 and 6+
Features
How you play
- Fit the battery bricks into the base first.
- Connect the switch and the wire bricks so the circuit forms a loop.
- Attach the projector brick at the end of the loop.
- Press the button — a complete circuit lights the projector.
- If it does not light, check each joint along the loop in turn.
What it builds
- How electricity needs a complete path, learned by breaking it
- Systematic fault finding rather than guessing
- Reading a build diagram and following it to a working result
- Confidence with real components at an age where most kits are toys
Three ways to play it
- Darken the room so the projected image is worth the build
- Rebuild the circuit with the parts in a different order
- Add or remove a component and predict what will happen first
