Space Exploration Jigsaw — 180 Pieces

A 180-piece jigsaw of a space exploration scene — astronauts, spacecraft and planets against a dark sky. The dark background is the real challenge: once the bright objects are placed, the rest has to be worked out by shape.

How you play

1. Sort the pieces into bright objects and dark background.
2. Build the outside edge first.
3. Place the astronauts, spacecraft and planets — the strong colours make these easiest.
4. Fill the dark sky last, matching by piece shape rather than colour.
5. Check the whole picture for any piece sitting slightly wrong.

• Sorting deliberately before starting, which halves the work
• Matching by shape when colour stops helping
• Concentration across a build that takes more than one sitting
• Curiosity about space, prompted by the scene
