Flying Hats Target Game — Four Launchers

A target game with a colour-divided grid board in the middle and a small spring launcher for each player. You sit a hat on your launcher, press it, and the hat flies across to the board. The aim is to land your hats on your own colour before the others fill theirs.

How you play

1. Each player picks a colour and takes the matching launcher and hats.
2. Sit a hat on the launcher and line it up with the board.
3. Press with your finger to send it flying.
4. Land your hats on your own colour on the grid.
5. The first to fill their colour wins the round.

What it builds

• Hand-eye coordination, judging the target and the press together
• Fine control of force — the same press sends a hat too far or not far enough
• Patience across repeated tries, since almost nobody lands the first one
• Taking turns, and losing a round in company

Three ways to play it

• Move the board further away once everyone is landing hats easily
• Play cooperatively, filling one colour together, for a younger child
• Call a target square before each shot and score double for hitting it
