Matching Eggs — Shape and Colour Sorter

A set of plastic eggs that pull apart into two halves. Each half carries a shape and a colour, and only the matching pair fits back together — when they are right, the egg closes cleanly. The halves are chunky enough for a toddler to grip and twist.

How you play

1. Pull all the eggs apart and mix the halves up.
2. Pick one half and look at the shape and colour inside it.
3. Hunt for the half that matches.
4. Push the two together — a correct pair closes easily.
5. Keep going until every egg is whole again.

• Start with three or four eggs rather than the whole set
